About the Studio
Valiant Art Restoration is a restoration studio dedicated to the careful treatment and documentation of fine art, documents, and specialty collections. We serve private collectors, institutions, and insurance professionals throughout Texas and beyond.
The Studio
A preservation-first approach to restoration
Valiant Art Restoration was founded on the principle that restoration work, done well, should be nearly invisible. Not in the sense of hiding the history of an object, but in the sense of respecting it. Every material selected, every technique applied, must serve the long-term stability and integrity of the original work.
We serve private collectors, families, institutions, and insurance professionals. Whether the object is a damaged family heirloom or a fine art painting in the middle of an insurance claim, the treatment standards do not change. Every project receives the same level of documentation, care, and professional attention regardless of how it originates.
Who We Serve
Private Collectors
Individuals and families with fine art, heirlooms, and specialty objects requiring careful evaluation and treatment.
Institutions & Estates
Museums, libraries, historical societies, and estate administrators managing collections that require professional preservation support.
Insurance Carriers & Adjusters
We provide condition reports, line-item estimates, and salvage coordination structured for the claims workflow.
Legal & Appraisal Professionals
Expert condition opinions and treatment feasibility assessments for dispute resolution, mediation, and valuation support.
Our Standard
The Preservation-First Standard
We use only materials with demonstrated stability and reversibility, meaning future specialists can undo our work if better methods or materials become available. This is not a precaution; it is an ethical obligation in restoration practice.
We document every intervention in writing, with photography. The treatment record we produce becomes part of the permanent history of the object and provides a foundation for all future restoration decisions.
Reversibility
All treatments use materials that can be safely removed by future specialists without damage to the original.
Minimal Intervention
We do only what is necessary to stabilize and restore the object.
Full Documentation
Every project produces a written treatment record identifying all materials, methods, and observations.
Preservation-Grade Materials
We source preservation-quality adhesives, fill materials, and retouching pigments from established suppliers.

By Appointment Only
For most projects, we prefer to conduct the initial evaluation at your location. Contact us to arrange a site visit or to discuss the best approach for your object. Sending photographs in advance is encouraged, as it helps us prepare and, in many cases, allows us to answer preliminary questions before the evaluation.
Before Your Evaluation
Having the following information ready before you reach out will help us make the most of your evaluation:
Medium and approximate dimensions of the object
A brief description of the damage or concern
When and how the damage occurred, if known
Whether an insurance claim is involved
Any prior restoration history you are aware of
Photographs taken in good natural light, including close-ups of damaged areas
Confidentiality
Client & Collection Privacy
We do not discuss client projects, collections, or claims without explicit written consent. The details of every project we undertake, including the identity of the client, the nature of the object, and the circumstances of any damage, are held in strict confidence.
This commitment applies equally to insurance-related projects, estate work, and private collector inquiries. We do not publish before-and-after photographs or reference specific projects in any public communication without prior written authorization from the client.
What This Means in Practice
Project Records
Treatment reports, condition photographs, and correspondence are retained securely and never shared with third parties without consent.
Insurance Communication
We communicate with carriers and adjusters only as authorized by the policyholder or as required by the engagement.
Long-Term Discretion
Our confidentiality commitment does not expire with the conclusion of a project. Past client information is held with the same care indefinitely.
